Whenever you hear the name Carlos Diaz the words "community" and "commitment" come to mind. Mr. Diaz, one of six children, was born and raised in East Harlem to a humble blue collar family. At the age of twenty he lost his father and was forced by circumstances to help support the Diaz family household. Along the way he had to confront and learn to deal with the difficult choices faced by most living in El Barrio.
