Member Benefits
MENTORING
Mentoring is not just for the young. Many of our members had either a family member or a friend to encourage and advise them along the way to establishing their own businesses. In recognition of the importance of this personal approach, the NYCHCC will establish a Committee of volunteer experienced businessmen and women to provide one on one guidance, advice and assistance to any member that requests it.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT
This wide diversity also extends to the difference in size of the various Hispanic businesses as well as the experience and know-how of the many entrepreneurs. Access to government contracts, marketing strategies, liability and health insurance are but a few of the many benefits that the New York City Hispanic Chamber of Commerce can make available to its members.

NETWORKING
Among the ways businesses can expand their markets and stay on the front edge is by learning what others are doing and what the needs of other businesses are. The NYCHCC will offer numerous business luncheons and other venues where members can listen and learn from business and government leaders on the latest in market trends and consumer demands.

TECHNOLOGY
Everything from maintaining inventory to purchasing and receiving to payroll and insurance as well as personnel records can be maintained in one place through the use of computer technology. From hard-copy correspondence which can be scanned for record-keeping to emails and spreadsheets--all are now made simple through new technologies. The NYCHCC offers its members seminars and free courses on the use of hardware and software technologies. NYCHCC will also offer its members free workshops provided by professionals from the tech industry and through its collective buying program, offer members discounts on computers, telephones and other technology as available.

ADVOCACY
As the collective voice of New York City’s Hispanic business community, the NYCHCC will advocate for its membership before city, state and local government agencies. The NYCHCC will articulate issues and problems facing New York City’s Hispanic business owners in an effective and meaningful way. The NYCHCC is the only Hispanic Business group with its own weekly newspaper, La Voz Hispana

PUBLIC RELATIONS AND ADVERTISING
The NYCHCC will include a committee and working group lead by professionals in Public Relations and Media that will assist members with the preparation of written remarks, press advisories and releases as well as the writing and placement of articles and op-eds as the need arises. Additionally, this working group can and will provide members with discounted art work and copy writing for advertisements and other communications required by its member businesses.
