The presence of New York State Governor David Paterson, Congressman Charles Rangel and numerous political, community and business leaders at the 3rd Annual Hispanic Awards Banquet made it a major event to be remembered. We thank everyone of our members for making this event the success that it was.

The Saturday Night Live depiction last weekend of our Governor was in bad taste by NBC.  Making fun of public figures is one thing but poking fun at his disability is nothing less than shameful.  At a time when there are numerous public figures that can be poked fun and deservedly so, the Governor is not one of them.
